the long road to success中的to success其实不是“不定式”
不定式一定是to do，to后面应该是一个动词，而success是一个名词
这里的to success里的to是一个介词。
所以这里不是做形容词，而是表示所有格：成功的漫长的道路。
其它类似的还有：the key to the door “门的钥匙”
the answer to the question“问题的答案”
successful road与the road to success所表达的含义完全不同。
前者表示道路本身“很成功”，后者表示“通向成功的道路”
the temptation to steal则与上面的例子不同，to steal才是不定式做后置定语（相当于形容词）来修饰the temptation.
