英语理解为什么either后面用不定式to而 or后面用的是动词原型？求解释

这个，其实应该是either...or，这句句子应该这样看we were put into a position in which we had (either) to accept we were less important,(or) fight the government而either后面的to其实是跟着had的，had to do
记住either or和neither nor，没有你说的那种情况
