关于两个单词的问题

有take place，表示发生。但没有take places，就算要单三，也是在take上加s, 还有take the place of ,表示代替.例如: this accident took place yesterday. He will take the place of her father's position. family可以表示一个家庭(整体)后面谓语用单数形式.也可以表示家庭成员,这时后面要用复数形式的谓语.例如 My family is a big one. all my family like music
