帮忙，千万别译成闭嘴之类的话。
这句话最早是莎翁所说：在Henry VI, Part 2 中， Shakespeare 写道： “Seal up your lips, and give no words but mum.”
这就是要你别说话。或保持秘密。没有要你“闭嘴”即骂人的意思。
其他用法还有：
I ask you to seal your lips to words of hatred and of criticism, and to talk in
terms of brotherhood and of group relationships.
总而言之，这是to keep secure or secret的意思
另外，如果要表达"我会守秘密的"这个意思，英语就是：
my lips are sealed.
