The Statue of Liberty stands magnificantly on Liberty Island in New York Harbor. It is Naional Monument which was presented to the US by France, and dedicated on October 28,1886 commemorating the alliance between the countries during the American Revolution.
Wall Street is America's financial nerve center. The world famous New York Stock Exchange is diagonally across the street. It is the nation's largest organized market for stocks and bonds, Wall Street is the symbol of Amercan monopoly capitalism.
Broadway is an avenue in Manhattan, a symbol of the New York theatre. It is surrounded by playhouses, first-run movies, night clubs, hotels and shops. At night it is brilliantly lit by spectacular illuminated signs which have given it the name "The Great White Way".
