2016年09月10日，由贵州、云南两省合作共建的垂直高度565米，相当于200层楼高的世界第一高桥，杭瑞高速北盘江大桥—杭瑞高速贵州省毕节至都格的北盘江大桥实现合龙。12月29日通车！
北盘江大桥桥面和江面之间高差565米，超越之前世界第一高桥四渡河特大桥的560米，成为目前世界第一高桥，比国外最高桥梁巴布亚新几内亚海吉焦峡谷大桥高出近100米；北盘江大桥主桥为钢桁梁斜拉桥，主跨720米，目前列全球同类型桥梁第二。
作为一座世界级桥梁，建设中面临许多难题：山区大体积承台混凝土温控；超高索塔机制砂高性能混凝土泵送；山区超重钢锚梁整体吊装；边跨高墩无水平力的钢桁梁顶推；大跨钢桁梁斜拉桥合龙。很显然，这些难题都被我们的技术和工程团队顺利克服了。
