The senior high school entrance examination is about two months away. Students are working hard, but too much stress might not be good.
How can we make good use of the remaining time?
Zhou Kaiyue, 15, said the most important thing is to be confident. Zhou took the exam last year. She got six full scores in nine tests. “Stop doubting(疑惑) whether you can enter a key school or not. It does nothing other than distract (分散) your attention,” said Zhou, a student at Hefei No 8 Middle School in Anhui.
Also, she suggested students follow teachers’ instructions.
“Teachers know how to prepare for the exams in a clear and efficient way. So I valued the 45 minutes in class, and finished the homework every day,” said Zhou.
Having a close communication with teachers is important, said Zhen Zixi, 16, from Chongqing No 1 High School. He said the highest total score in the senior high school entrance examination in Chongqing last year. “Teachers are good at drawing inferences(推论), I only asked them how to solve one question, but they showed me the keys for the whole quiz type,” said Chen.
Staying up late is not wise, said Chen. It hurts both your body and mind. He played the piano for an hour every day. Sometimes he watched TV dramas to practice English.
“But playing computer games is bad, as it makes you over excited,” said Chen. “The key is to take it easy.”
